This is a very compact unit – unlike almost all other convection toaster ovens. So, no pizzas or large casseroles in there. But if you lack the space for a large one, this works just fine. Note: no toaster oven will make toast as well as a pop-up unit. This one toasts ok, but don’t expect the same as a dedicated toaster.
I love this convection toaster oven. I don’t think the knobs are hard to turn and opens very easy…I am so worried about how things look and that they don’t look cheap and this doesn’t at all. Very nice toaster and great size. And, it fits a small pizza in it with the rounded back that it has. That feature is really cool. It was packaged really well and here when promised.
8. Cuisinart TOB-195 Exact Heat Toaster Oven Broiler, Stainless
As a busy working Mom this is the best thing I have ever bought. I have even made a pie in this beauty. Heats up fast and works great. Worked well with the Thanksgiving turkey when I needed to get the rolls going. I highly recommend this oven. The only thing this lacks is a shelf that slides out when you open the door.
7. Black & Decker TRO420 Toast-R-Oven 4-Slice Countertop Oven/Broiler
We have owned a Black and Decker Toaster Oven for over 10 years and I have always liked the compact size and easiness to use. Since our old one starts to worn out, I have been searching for a toaster oven for a while, but the new models are much bigger in size. Finally, I found this one, and bought it, and made toast right away. It is great. The only trick thing if you didn’t read instruction first is that you have to turn the temp dial to toast, and turn the timer dial past 10 and then turn back to your desired toaster darkness. I really appreciate the sound alarm when your toaster is done. We don’t have the alarm on the old one. Overall it is a very nice toaster oven.
6. Black & Decker TRO480BS Toast-R-Oven 4-Slice Toaster Oven
This is the toaster oven you want. It’s small enough to do the light jobs that you just don’t want to do with a microwave. Slices of pizza, anything you want crispy and warm as opposed to hot and soggy. The dials for me took a bit to get used to and at a glance can look like a lot but after a few uses you’ll be toasting with ease. I taught my kids how to use it by using a back to the future analogy, this one tells you how hot, this one tells you how long, this one tells you for what.
5. Black & Decker CTO4500S 6-Slice CounterTop Convection Oven with Pizza Bump, Stainless Steel
I read the reviews by others before purchasing this oven. Therefore, I knew what to expect. The outside gets very hot. So always use the handle to open the door. Don’t let plastic bags lie around on the counter. My husband and I like our toast at different degrees of doneness, so we have to reset the toast doneness everytime. It would be nice if the knob were a bit easier to turn…but hopefully that will happen as the newness wears off. All in all, a fine convection toaster oven.
4. Breville BOV650XL Compact 4-Slice Smart Oven with Element IQ
I’ve owned this Breville oven for over a year, and loved using it so much I purchased one for my sister for Christmas. This nifty device will toast your bread, bake potatoes, warm up leftovers, anything that a full size oven can do plus it heats up faster. The best part is that it won’t heat up your kitchen (especially nice during the summer). It’s large enough to fit a dinner plate or a medium pizza. Very easy to clean too.
3. Oster TSSTTVMNDG Digital Large Capacity Toaster Oven, Stainless Steel
We just received this Convection/Toaster Oven as a gift and my husband and I are in love with it! The convection oven works wonderfully, is not too loud, heats up quickly and cooks food beautifully. As a toaster, it evenly toasts on both sides of the bread. The oven light is super bright and lights up the whole inside of the toaster, but can easily be turned off with it’s own button. But my favorite part is the super-duper easy to use crumb tray! it pulls out straight from the front, wipes right off, then goes right back in. No fuss, no spilling crumbs all over the counter, easy to access. So far, the unit looks beautiful and works really well. What more can you ask for!?!
2. Breville BOV800XL The Smart Oven 1800-Watt Convection Toaster Oven with Element IQ
For everything that physically fits inside it, this machine has replaced my main oven completely. The interface is intuitive, the heat is remarkably consistent, and it all around generally functions well. I am quite picky, and there is simply not a single serious qualm I have with this toaster oven. The only minor problem I have found is that you have to be a bit careful with wrapping the bottom tray with aluminum foil, otherwise the slides will tear the foil.
1 . Cuisinart TOB-40 Custom Classic Toaster Oven Broiler
Easy to use convection toaster oven, which has separate settings for bagels and bread. A pleasant ding announces toast which retains the texture of the bread and is not excessively dried out. Works fine for grilling and reheating. If you want to roast a turkey, look elsewhere, but for expected uses, it’s hard to imagine a better device.
